This diploma work is about mobile workplaces at the ?Zurcher Kantonalbank?. The first part of it deals with the basics of mobile workplaces. There are generally three different types of mobile workplaces:

• Telehomework, work that is done exclusively on the pc at home - Mobile Telework, work that is done at various places, on the way or at customer?s - Desksharing, workplace that is shared by several employees

From a technical point of view, these solutions are easy to realize. However, it is a difficult task to take care of social and cultural aspects. For each of the three types mentioned above, the most important conclusions of the book ?Mobile Arbeit in der Schweiz? will be shown.

Interviews with leading employees of the ?Zurcher Kantonalbank? are the foundation of the following parts of our work. We tried to determine the need of mobility and had to find out that it was quite limited. Through analysis of the current situation, we were able to point out the technical requirements for mobile workplaces. In the last part of our work, we will suggest three scenarios of application:

• Desksharing and mobile telework for employees responsible for firm customers - Blackberry for leading employees - Wireless LAN in conference rooms

Finally, we would like to make some non-technical recommendations. First of all, ongoing projects should be better coordinated between Business and IT. Secondly, leading employees should be a role model for other employees with desksharing
