Several free evangelical churches in Switzerland are employing the song-management software "Liederbuch 4.0" (Management and Printing) and "ProJ" (Projection). Both applications have been developed by members of the "Christliches Zentrum Buchegg" (CZB) and may be downloaded for free at www.czb.ch/software. The goal of this diploma thesis was to merge the functions of both applications whilst going beyond the capability of the former programs. The new songbook should - beside the songs - be able to manage, print and project bible scriptures and information pages (similar to slides as used in PowerPoint). The songs should furthermore be arranged into several songbook parts. All those items should be maintained in an arbitrary number of languages and projected and printed in up to three languages, so called Language Groups. The mode of translation (line by line, section by section ...) and the format allows the software to display songs, scriptures and information pages according to the specific needs of each user. The songbook supports currently multilingual menus and can load and save songs simultaneously in both file formats, that is, WNS (file format of Liederbuch 4.0) and XML (the new file format). In addition, languages, language groups and formats can be edited to set the appearance of the projection of songs.
