In DC/DC-Converters switching losses arise because of not ideal switching elements due to current and voltage overlaps. These losses can be reduced by suitable resonant circuits. This paper describes the building and dimensions of a DC/DC-Converter in form of a ?uk-Converter. A ?uk-Converter is a special boost-buck-Converter with variable output voltage. After various measurements at the ?uk-Converter, it was extended by a resonant circuit. The first approach was tried with a ZVS network (zero voltage switching). After simulations in plecs, it could be shown that this network is not suitable for a ?uk-Converter with variable output voltage. In a second approach, a discharge network was added to the converter to control the di/dt and the du/dt. Lowering these two parameters can reduce the switching losses. Data measured with the new converter are comparable to the simulated ones in plecs. The efficiency could not be noticeably increased relative to the normal DC/DC-converter without discharge.
