Noise pollution is today, an actual problem in connection to the north and south flights to and from Zurich airport. This is a result of the agreement between Switzerland and Germany. The negative results on people are numerous and have been proven many times. In the following paper we will not go into details about this fact.

The available diploma work deals with the development of a noise station measurement station and its central analysis. It describes the architecture, design and the implement of the only software components for the measuring of noise and its analysis. It should be clear to the reader, at the end of the paper, how the components are built up and how a noise measuring station and an analysis server could be put into operation. Such measuring stations would make it possible to monitor different types of noise pollution in different areas all the time. The use of these measuring stations are of interest in the research area and also it is of value to judge the standard of living and the evaluation of property in living areas that are subject to noise pollution in these affected areas.

As a starting basis, we have a TINI developing board and a personal computer available. The aim was the development of a functioning measuring station on an embedded system TINI and on a PC. Also, for the measuring station data analysis, a server module had to be developed that could process the data. We could also obtain information about noise pollution from the German flight noise research service which already has such a similar system.

The result s of this project are three functioning software components: One measuring station based on a embedded system, one measuring station which is developed for a computer and one measuring data server which produces the data analysis and can then be seen on a web platform.
