The aim to this dissertation is to regulate the translatory inertia of the synchronous long stator linear drive of the magnetically levited vehicle. Important is that the levitation which is treated parallel to this dissertation may not be disturbed.

This challenge was mastered as follows: with a "Current Scalar Control" it was forced that the stator flux always stayed rectangular to the rotor flux which at the same time meant maximal force. With a laser sensor the position of the rotor is determined and with this information the pulse widthe modulated signals are generated in xPC -target, a real-time calculation program. An existing and already used frequency converter was adjusted in order to insert the signals and turn its power switch in this way the three currents are optimally powered any time.

The solution proved to be successful as both, the movement and the flotation are working together simultaneously.
