Have you ever thought that it would be great to receive a short message on your mobile phone if you receive a new important mail in your mailbox? Imagine that you are looking for a new apartment and it is important for you that you don?t need more than 30 minutes to your working place by train. Wouldn?t it be comfortable to get new advertisements by mail every day filtered by your specified criteria? With the Internet Information Broker such workflows are automated and you can spend your time on more important things.

It was the aim of this degree dissertation to call information from one or more web pages and make it available for further processing in a webservice. The most difficult thing during developing the Internet Information Broker was to find a suitable architecture as well as suitable interfaces. With these preconditions you have a framework that will work with every webpage available on the Internet, even if the page is changed.

In the second part of this work, webservices that are produced by the Internet Information Broker should be used by an agent. This agent will be invoked periodically to collect the desired information from several sources. After that, the information collected will be prepared and stored or forwarded as appropriate to the desired resource.
