DA Wil 02/1 - Control-Concepts For A Three-Mass-Oscillator

The goal of this dissertation was to control the three-mass-oscillator with the original control system from ECP and also with xPC-Target from SIMULINK. We also had to compare the differences of both control-systems and consider the pros and cons. Further we should control the three-mass-oscillator with different control-methods, discuss the results and compare them. The control of the three-mass-oscillator with xPC-Target which we started in our project-work was finished in this dissertation. The result is a system which is easy to overview, to handle and on which a user can implement any control-concept. With the built hardwarebox it?s possible to connect all signals fast and secure. During our work we found out that the interface of the ECP-System sometimes doesn?t work as written in the manuals. Some of the evaluated parameters have differences to the values in the manuals of more then 50%. The result was that we weren?t able to compare the two systems properly. About the half of the time we invested in the implementation of various control-concepts which included classical as well as alternative control concepts. Because of that we were able to compare different control concepts on a practical example.
